I emailed a vendor to explain why, at nearly 9 pm on Sunday, I did not answer the phone. I told her that Sunday evenings I typically relax and write letters.
This may sound clear, but to anyone that has received one of my handwritten notes, this could have two meanings:
I write letters, as in I handwrite my thoughts on notecards or stationery and put them in the US Mail
Or
I write the letters of the alphabet, perhaps in calligraphy. See, my handwriting is not very neat, and I know it. I have had people tell me they have one heckuva time reading my letters. I really do try to write more legible …. but when I get excited, passionate, or just plain tired, my writing disintegrates.
So … which did I mean?
