What a brave intimate and vulnerable blog post. All the very best for this new collaboration. It would make for a fascinating study to observe and chronicle how it develops and the growing pains for all concerned. Perhaps we can discuss that.

Shari,
I must be type A!! Wow all the aimless soul searching, which I think I have done mostly in my own mind is actually a characteristic..hmm. Imagine this, I am in my living room with my laptop on my lap, paper's piled around me, cellphone beside me and I am staring at my screen which has more windows than a green house. The internet; every subject, thought, wim at my finger tips. Of course I am sure I spend more time making my To Do List than completing anything on it! I am always busy, yet I accomplish so little. I knew something was not right haha. It never occurred to me this could be a stress reaction. The good news is that we have figured out why I'm not very productive. The bad news is now I have to do something about it!!!
Thanks,
Shari

Hi,

Any insight into the effects a pilot's manufactured ego has on his children? Google info is scant on the subject.

Yeah, we all want our pilot/father to be the most confident, and skilled human aboard during a cross wind landing. but after the flight, a pilot may be as good at parenting. How does this level of ego in the parent reverberate into the life of their children? is there any data about weather their offspring ever measure up to their Zeus complex? Can they assert themselves under his totality? Is there info regarding his ego as the whip that he uses to marginalize his children's worlds??

It would be nice to connect to those who struggle here as I have. I have insight for us all on this front because I worked on letting go.

respect,

TJ

please forward any research or insight.

peace,

Social Networking of all kinds especially Facebook and Twitter can be very distracting. Their offspring is the many social networking games such as Yoville and Farmville. One can waste many hours playing these games. They are indeed very distracting whether at work or at home. Also one of the most insidious reliable distraction is that of texting. My guess would be that 98% of texting at work is of a personal nature and not business related. Not only are many texts unnecessary, the act of texting can often be just downright rude. Technology is bringing us more and more marvels that on the surface seem to be time savers but can come back to bite us in the rear as a reliable distraction.
